Dne 4. března 2021 se v prostředí GoogleMeet uskutečnilo okresní kolo Olympiády z anglického jazyka. První místo získala Ráchel Horká, dále naši školu reprezentovala Žaneta Gazdíková obě ze YA.
Obě děvčata mají zkušenosti z předešlých let, nicméně mluvit do kamery off the cuff (bez přípravy) je přece jenom úplně jiné, jak si můžete přečíst z hodnocení studentek samotných.
Žaneta se umístila na krásném 4. místě a Ráchel okresní kolo vyhrála a postupuje do krajského kola. Oběma studentkám blahopřejeme, děkujeme za reprezentaci školy a Ráchel přejeme hodně štěstí v krajském kole!

The English Language Competition took place on March 4, 2021 and a few students decided to challenge their listening and speaking skills. As for the form of the competition, it was the same as our school nowadays, online, which was something different but nonetheless interesting and I think it spiced things up.

Every year around Christmas time, our school organizes an English language competition, which usually consists of three parts: listening, use of English and speaking. This year has been a bit different, as the schools are closed, and it seemed that no competition will be held, which made me quite sad. That’s why I was thrilled to hear that there is an opportunity to participate in a district round. We started at 8:30 with a short listening exercise, followed by the speaking part. My turn came at 10:20 and I had chosen the topic of education. Frankly speaking, it wasn’t my favourite one but it wasn’t bad, either. All the teachers were really nice, asked interesting questions and overall it was a great experience and I had a lot of fun.
